Door & Window Repair in Phoenix, AZ

Sticking, sagging, drafty or broken. We make doors and windows open, close and lock the way they should.

Handyman fitting a hinge to a door frame with a drill

A door that won't latch or a window that won't open is a daily annoyance, and in a Phoenix summer it's an energy problem too. Hot air leaks in around a bad seal and the air conditioner pays for it. Most of these fixes are quick once you know what's actually wrong.

For doors, the usual causes are worn hinges, misaligned strike plates and a house that has settled. We rehang doors that rub, move strike plates so the latch catches, replace hinges, and plane doors that have swollen or shifted. We replace and rekey locksets and deadbolts, and install new handles. Sliding glass patio doors that grind and drag almost always need new rollers, and we replace rollers, tracks, latches and screens.

For windows, we replace broken balances and cranks so they stay open, fix locks and latches, replace torn screens, and recaulk and weatherstrip around frames. A window fogged between the panes has a failed seal, and the glass unit needs to be replaced, which we can arrange. We also install security doors, storm doors and pet doors.

Questions

Can you fix a sliding glass door that's hard to open?
Yes. When a patio door gets heavy and grinds, it's almost always the rollers. We replace the rollers and track, adjust the door so it glides, and fix or replace the latch and handle while we're there.
Is there a minimum charge?
No published minimum. If a single item is very small, we'll suggest bundling a few things into one visit so the trip is worth it for both of us.
Do you guarantee your work?
One-year warranty on our workmanship. If something we did fails in that window, we come back and fix it.
