Carpentry & Trim in Phoenix, AZ

Baseboards, casing, crown, shelving and the small wood projects that finish a room.

Carpenter planing a piece of trim by hand

Trim is what makes a room look finished, and it's the first thing to show wear. Baseboards get kicked and water-stained, door casings crack when a house settles, and crown molding opens up at the corners in dry heat. We repair and replace all of it and match the profile so new pieces blend with old.

Much of this work follows something else: new flooring that left a gap under the baseboards, a plumbing repair that cut through a window sill, or a project that never got its trim finished. We fill the gaps, install what's missing, caulk and paint. We also build small things: closet shelving and rods, pantry shelves, garage storage, laundry counters and built-in bookcases.

Outside, we replace rotted fascia and soffit, patio cover boards, and the wood trim around garage doors and windows. Exposed wood fails faster in Phoenix sun than most people expect, and catching it early is far cheaper than replacing a whole run of fascia. Loose balusters, wobbly newel posts and handrails are safety jobs, and we treat them that way.

Questions

Can you match my existing trim?
In most cases. Common baseboard and casing profiles are still made, and for older or unusual profiles we'll find the closest match and blend the joint. New pieces get caulked and painted so they read as one run.
How do you charge — hourly or by the job?
Fixed price per job, quoted before we start. If we open a wall or floor and find damage nobody could see beforehand, we stop, show you, and re-quote before doing more.
Who actually shows up at my house?
Levi, the owner, plus a helper or two depending on the job. Not a rotating crew of subcontractors.
