Stucco Repair in Phoenix, AZ

Cracks, chips and crumbling patches on your home's exterior, repaired to match.

Close-up of freshly troweled stucco texture

Most Phoenix-area houses are finished in stucco, and most of them have a crack somewhere. Hairlines at window corners and settling cracks are usually cosmetic. Stucco that bulges or crumbles usually means water got in behind the finish, and that needs more than a surface patch.

For small cracks, we clean and fill them with a flexible stucco patch so they don't reopen with the next heat cycle. For larger damage, we cut back to solid material, repair the lath and paper underneath if needed, and rebuild the base and finish coats. Then we match the texture, whether it's sand, lace, dash or smooth, so the patch doesn't announce itself.

Color matching is where stucco repairs go wrong. Sun-faded paint rarely matches a fresh patch straight from the can, so we'll go over the options: paint the patch and feather it out, paint the whole wall, or leave it primed if you plan to repaint anyway. We also repair stucco on block walls, columns and parapets, and the foam trim and popouts around windows and doors.

Questions

Will the repair match the color of my house?
The texture will match. Color is harder, because sun-faded paint rarely matches a fresh patch straight from the can. We'll go over the options with you: paint the patch and feather it out, paint the whole wall, or leave it primed if you plan to repaint.
