Patio Cover and Pergola Repair in Phoenix
Rotted boards, a cracked beam, a post gone soft at the base, a cover that leaks. Repaired and sealed before the summer you sit under it.
Arizona ROC #366903 · Licensed, Bonded & Insured
A wood patio cover takes sun from above and all sides, and the top boards and beam ends fail first. Posts rot at the base where sprinklers hit them. Aluminum covers leak at the seams and dent in hail. We repair what's there, replace what's gone, and build new pergolas and covers over existing patios.
Wood covers and pergolas
Rotted top boards and lattice get replaced. Cracked beam ends get sistered or capped. Posts rotted at the base get a new base or a replacement post on a proper standoff so the wood isn't sitting in water. Then the whole thing gets sealed or painted. A cover that's leaning has a loose post or a failed connection to the house, and both get fixed.
Aluminum covers
Alumawood and similar covers leak at the panel seams and the ledger where they meet the house. Seams get resealed, loose panels refastened, and the ledger flashing redone. Dented panels get replaced.
New covers
A new pergola or solid cover over an existing patio goes on posts set in concrete, sized for the span. Attached covers need a permit in most Valley cities, and a solid roof needs to drain. Shade sails are the quick version. We also build ramadas and sheds. We can help with misting systems too.

Questions
- Can you fix a rotted post without rebuilding the cover?
- Yes. The cover gets supported, the post gets replaced on a standoff, and the cover goes back on it.
- Why does my aluminum cover leak?
- The seams between panels and the flashing where it meets the house. Both get resealed.
- Do I need a permit for a new pergola?
- If it's attached to the house, usually yes. Freestanding ones under a certain size often don't. We'll tell you for your city.
