Outdoor fixtures fail from sun and water. Lenses yellow, finishes chalk, sockets corrode, and the outlet on the patio trips when it rains or won't reset. We replace exterior fixtures with ones rated for the weather, swap outdoor outlets for GFCIs with proper covers, and seal the gap between the fixture and the stucco so water stays out of the wall.

Lights

Porch, garage, coach and patio lights mount to the same box as the old one. The new fixture has to be wet-rated, and the gap to the stucco gets sealed. Motion-sensor and dusk-to-dawn fixtures go on the same way. Low-voltage landscape lighting repairs, a dead transformer, a cut wire, a failed fixture, are usually quick. We can help with a new system too.

Outlets

Every outdoor outlet needs a GFCI and a bubble cover that closes over the cord. A patio outlet that trips after rain usually has water in the box or a cracked cover. A new in-use cover and a sealed box fix it. Adding an outlet for a patio fan, a string of lights or a fountain is an added outlet, and Phoenix and Glendale treat that as permit work; we'll tell you up front.

A patio fan goes on a damp- or wet-rated fan box. String lights get hooks into the fascia or the patio cover framing, not the stucco, and a switched outlet so they don't run all night.
