Replacing the floor in one room is a job most flooring companies don't want and most homeowners don't want to do themselves. We do rooms: a bedroom, an office, a laundry room, a bathroom, a hallway. Vinyl plank is what most people choose here because it takes heat and water. Tile where it's wet or where the rest of the house is tile. Laminate where you want the look at the lowest cost and water isn't a concern.
What a room install involves
The old floor comes out, or stays if the new floor can go over it. The slab gets checked for low spots and filled, because a floating floor over a dip clicks forever. Baseboard comes off and goes back on, or shoe molding covers the gap. The floor goes in with the expansion gap a floating floor needs. Transitions at doorways match the floor on the other side. Then the baseboard, the door bottoms trimmed if the floor is higher, and the room put back.
Tile
Tile on a slab is set in mortar with a crack-isolation membrane where the slab has cracks, grouted and sealed. A bathroom gets the floor tiled under the toilet, with the toilet reset on a new ring.
Whole house
A whole house of flooring is bigger than a room and gets quoted as its own project, carpet and floor refinishing included.

Questions
- Can you put vinyl plank over my tile?
- Often, yes, if the tile is flat and solid. Grout lines get filled first so they don't show through.
- Do I need to move the furniture?
- We move it out and back. Big items like a bed get taken apart and reassembled.
